Deals that move along when the quotation goes out.

Every deal sits on a board by stage, weighted by its chance of closing. Send its quotation from Sales and the deal moves to Proposal. When the quotation is confirmed, the deal moves to Closed Won and says so on the deal. Its calls and meetings land in the right person’s tasks.

An example company and example figures. Quotation QT-0107 was confirmed, and the deal moved itself to Closed Won.

One deal, from the first call to won.

Meridian Supply wants dates for Ramadan. Here’s the deal on its way through Tamra, and what Tamra does by itself along the way.

1

Stages you can read at a glance.

Every new company starts with a Sales pipeline: Discovery 10%, Qualification 25%, Proposal 50%, Negotiation 75% and Closed Won 100%. Each column shows its deals, their total, and that total weighted by their chance of closing.

  • Rename the stages, change the percentages, add your own, or run a second pipeline for tenders or rentals.
  • Drag a card to another stage, and the deal takes that stage’s percentage.
2

Calls and meetings become someone’s tasks.

On the deal, log a call, a meeting, an email or a task. Each one with an owner is in that person’s tasks on Home and in the Calendar. Tick it done, rename it or change its date in either place, and the other follows.

  • Updates is the team’s conversation about the deal. An @mention rings that person’s bell.
  • Switch on the rules, and a deal that goes quiet, or passes its close date, gives its owner a task to follow it up.
3

The quotation starts from the deal.

Create quotation makes a draft quotation for the deal’s customer, in their own currency at the day’s exchange rate, linked to the deal, and opens it in Sales for you to add the lines.

  • The order and the invoice made from it carry the link too, so the deal lists all three, with what’s been invoiced and paid.
4

It moves when the quotation does.

When the quotation is sent, the deal moves to Proposal. When it’s confirmed, the deal moves to Closed Won. Each move is noted on the deal with its reason, such as Moved to Closed Won.

  • The deal’s owner gets a notice the moment it’s won.
  • Anyone looking at the board sees the card move without refreshing.
5

What’s likely to close, and when.

Forecast adds up the open deals by the month they should close, weighted by their percentages, beside what’s already won this quarter and anything past its close date. Look three, six or twelve months ahead, by month or by owner.

An enquiry from your website becomes a lead.

Put Tamra’s enquiry form on your website, or share its link. Each enquiry arrives as a new lead named for the person and their company, and whoever you choose gets a task to reply today.

  • Name, email or phone, company and their message. A hidden field turns bots away.
  • Or share new leads out in turn between the people you pick.
  • Convert a lead when it’s real: the deal is made, and the company becomes a customer if it’s new.

How a deal moves.

The CRM posts nothing to the books. Instead, three things that happen in Sales move a deal by themselves, and only ever forward.

When this happens in SalesThe deal moves toNoted on the deal
QT-0107The deal’s quotation is sent. When it’s marked as sent in Sales.
Proposal 50%The first stage named like Proposal or Quotation. A pipeline without one leaves the deal where it is.

Moved to ProposalQuotation QT-0107 was sent.

QT-0107The quotation is confirmed. When the customer accepts it, and it’s confirmed in Sales.
Closed Won 100%Or whichever stage is at 100% or named Won.

Moved to Closed WonQuotation QT-0107 was confirmed by the customer.

SO-0093A sales order on the deal is confirmed, or an invoice is issued. The link travels from quotation to order to invoice.
Closed Won 100%For a deal that skipped the quotation, or wasn’t moved yet.

Moved to Closed WonSales order SO-0093 was confirmed.

  • Forward only.A deal already further along stays where it is. A won or lost deal is never touched.
  • The stage’s percentage comes along. The deal takes its new stage’s probability, so the weighted totals stay right.
  • Every move is written down.A done note on the deal’s activity says where it went and why.

Updates and @mentions

The conversation about a deal stays on the deal, and a mention rings the person’s bell.
