ScribePages, notebooks and letters, written together

Write it together, with today’s figures in it.

Plans, procedures, meeting notes and letters live in notebooks beside your invoices. Put a live value from the books into a sentence, such as an invoice’s amount due or a product’s stock on hand, and the page shows the figure as it stands each time it opens. Your team writes on the same page at the same time.

An example company and example figures. The figures in the grey chips are read from the books when the page opens.

One plan, written by three people.

Sara’s Ramadan stock plan for Palm & Co. Trading, with Omar and Priya on the same page. Here is what it’s made of.

1

A notebook for each part of the business.

Pages live in notebooks, in the same eight colours as your folders, with pages inside pages. A shared notebook is for the team; a personal one is private to you. New pages wait in the Inbox until you file them.

  • Favourites and recent pages, a click away.
  • A thought typed into Scribe’s home becomes a page in the Inbox.
2

Figures straight from the books.

Type /Live value, choose a record and the figure to show. The page keeps the link, not the number, so the figure is read from the books each time the page opens.

  • Invoices: amount due, total, status and due date.
  • Customers and suppliers: open balance, and how many invoices or bills are open.
  • Products: on hand, sale price and cost price.
  • Quotations and orders: total and status.
3

Link any record with [[.

Type [[ and a few letters to find an invoice, a quotation, an order, a customer, a supplier, a product or an employee. The link opens the record, and the page shows in that record’s Notes.

  • A note written on a record is kept in Scribe too, linked to it.
4

Comments, mentions and cursors.

Mention a teammate with @ and they’re notified. Comments sit beside the page in threads, with replies and Resolve.

  • Everyone editing has a cursor with their name on it, and the faces at the top show who’s on the page.
5

Set it as you like. Every version kept.

Choose Default, Editorial, Compact or Airy for the page, and a serif or monospace face if you like. Versions are saved as you write, and any one can be put back.

  • Open in PDF lays a letter out for your letterhead, ready to stamp and sign.

Start from one of 23 templates.

Written for a trading business and the people who run it, grouped by when you reach for them. Each opens as an ordinary page, its prompts in italics so they read as guidance and delete cleanly.

Also in Scribe.

Tables that add up

A table takes spreadsheet formulas such as =SUM(B2:B6) or =B2*C2, and they follow their cells when rows and columns move.

A page in a window

Open a page in a floating window over any module and keep it beside an invoice or an order while you work.

Reminders on a page

Remind me puts the page on your calendar, and the reminder opens the page when it comes round.

Notes on every record

A note written on a customer, an invoice or a product is kept as a Scribe page, linked to that record.

A page to read, by link

Share a read-only link for 7 days, 30 days or with no end date, and switch it off when you like.

Locked when it’s final

Lock a procedure so it reads but doesn’t change. An admin can lock a page for everyone.

Write your next plan on Tamra.

Bring a procedure you follow every month. At the demo we’ll set it up as a Scribe page together, with live figures in it.
