What random testing found, part three
- An invoice or bill in another currency can’t be unposted while an exchange revaluation that took it in is still in the books (Tamra names it and the way out), a payment is rounded to its currency first (a yen invoice paid ¥42,538.99 reads Paid), statements and card payment links follow what is really owed, and a document discount comes off the goods and services, never off the advance line.
- A line sold by the carton is priced from the price list in the document’s currency (10 cases of 24 at the list’s bottle price), a carton used on a document keeps its size, a list chosen on a document or a recurring template prices in that currency with its category rules and up to 4 decimals, and a quotation’s order keeps its total to the fils.
- A debit note posts on a foreign bill whose VAT can’t be recovered and on one with a free line, the last of several notes on a bill line takes exactly what is left so the bill settles to the fils, and goods received in parts against a bill leave nothing in goods received not billed.
- MRP counts parts in the unit they are stocked in and only what purchase orders still have to deliver, a routing or work centre a running order uses can’t be deleted, cancelling an order cancels its work orders, unbuilding puts parts back in their own lots at the value they were used at, and a spare-part withdrawal from a locked month can be cancelled.
- A billable claim line is billed at what it cost you, VAT you can’t recover included; Duplicate never bills a claim twice; advances are kept only in an asset account of their own; a claim can’t be paid back before it is approved; the expense reports count VAT you can’t recover as spend; and project totals add each project in your currency.
- Invoices drafted through the API or by Eagle carry VAT on every line and fall due by the customer’s payment terms, an API draft takes its number only when it is posted, reading bills and adding products through the API work, and on the phone Sales Order created opens the new order.
